During my days in Krabi I stayed at Aonang Cliff Beach Resort, located at the heart of the small town, Ao Nang.
The welcome was fabulous. The receptioninst of Aonang Cliff Beach Resort offered me a mango juice while doing the check in and the driver took care of my luggage.
I was escorted to my room , located on the 7th floor. The first thing I did was go to the terrace and enjoy the views over the city with the sea at the end.
Facilities
The room was spacious with a king bed, a sofa and a desk. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a glass window so that sunlight penetrates through it.
I was dying to go to the pool, so I put on my bikini and I went straight to the 6th floor. The views are very nice, specially at sunset. You’ll find right there a bar where you can order different cocktails and fruit juices.
On the ground floor there is another pool, but I did not go because the views are nicer on the 7th floor .
The hotel offers several restaurants. I only had the breakfast, because during the day I went for a walk around the city and along the beach.
The buffet is complete and varied. You will find fresh and dried fruits, nuts, vegetables , meat, eggs , cereals , muesli , fruit juices , yogurt , pasta , bread, etc. They open at 6:30 am, which is perfect for me because I always wake up early and hungry !
There is a small gym with four basic machines. I’m not a big fan of gyms, so I went to visit it, I made a couple of splits, and then I went to the street! haha
In the evening I returned to the hotel and I relaxed myself reading and drinking tea in the bathtub that you’ll find on the terrace of the room.
I was so fullfilled that I went to sleep early.
Location
The location of the hotel is perfect . At street level you will find shops, bars and restaurants and if you walk a little more, you’ll get to the beach .
For those who can not eat gluten, like me, I’m happy to say that right in front of the hotel there is a restaurant that offers a gluten-free menu . It’s called Diver ‘s Inn. Also in the street you will find many places with fresh, local fruit. I would recommend you to try the pineapple. It is delicious!
At night, if you ave the chance, go to drink a fruit juice or a cocktail in a bar with live music that is two minutes walk towards the beach.
Private beach
There is a free shuttle to reach the private beach offered by the hotel. It is a pretty deserted beach with a restaurant, a bar on the sand and a massage area. You will find several hammocks where you can relax or if you want you can just walk along the beach.
That day I met a group of happy guys who were celebrating the anniversary of one of them. I enjoy talking with people who smile and see life from an optimistic outlook. I was also trying to talk to a little girl who approached me but she did not understand English, so we just laughed while trying to communicate with gestures!
And of course, I could not miss my yoga session in the sand! haha
My review of Aonang Cliff Beach Resort
It is a nice and clean hotel. The location is perfect and the views are beautiful. Breakfast is very good and the staff very attentive.
The only thing I did not like was the internet (sooooo slow !), but let’s be positive, it allowed me to disconnect and enjoy more of the experiences I had during those days.
