Last week, towards the end of my stay in Thailand, I decided to explore Krabi, a province of Thailand with awesome landscapes.
It was a last minute decision, so without really knowing where I was going , I decided to take the bus at 6am towards the port of Koh Samui and from there a ferry to Surat Thani.
The night before there were a big storm, but luckily in the morning the sky was clear enough.
The truth is that I was quite lost, but the world is full of good people like Nigel, another traveler I met along the way who helped me find myself on the map! haha
When I arrived to Surat Thani I took another bus. The air conditioning wasn’t working and it was very hot, so everyone was sweating. Luckily it was only a couple of hours ride. When I went outside the bus I told Nigel “it’s important to live these types of experiences to appreciate the things that we take for granted, like the fresh air we breathe every day.”
I had to wait around a half hour for the next car that would drive us to the bus stop. The car was full, so I sat in the back with the suitcases and then I took the last bus to Krabi. At 5 pm, after 11 hours of travelling, I arrived to Ao Nang, my final destination!
I only stayed five days there, two nights at the Alisea Boutique Hotel and two at the Aonang Cliff Beach Resort.
The first day I just relaxed by myself at the hotel pool, catching up with some backlog. There was no one in the pool except the bar staff , so I also did some yoga.
The second day we rented a motorbike and went to the Amphoe Mueang National Park, where we did a trail. If you are a nature lover, you can not miss this tour.
I spent the third day in Sai Thai, at the hotel’s private beach. It’s a large beach with a restaurant and a small bar on the sand. That day the beach was almost empty, so it was a day for myself, to practice yoga, walk around, lay on the hammock, take pictures, read and write.
The fourth day I went for a walk around the streets and along the beach of Ao Nang. I stopped at different stalls to taste the local food.
That night in a bar with live music I met Gaspar, another traveler from the Balearic Islands, where I was born. I’m always very happy to meet wanderers from my country.
I would have liked to visit Phi Phi islands and many other places, but I didn’t have time, so I will have to come back again! 😉
Love and gratitude
