Kamandalu Ubud is a five star resort located in Ubud, the heart of Bali. It is a resort that retains the traditional Balinese culture with the addition of contemporary luxury style within a quiet and natural setting.
The resort consists of villas, so that the guests can have total privacy on their property and at the same time they can share social life in the common areas.
The resort offers 6 categories of different villas:
- Ubud chalet
- Villa with garden
- Villa with pool
- Deluxe Villa with pool
- Two bedroom villa with pool
- Three bedroom villa with pool
I stayed in the Villa with pool.
It is a space of about 180m2 with one bedroom, bathroom and garden with your own private swimming pool.
Windows allowing the entrance of natural light surround the bedroom, presided over by an elegant four-poster bed.
The bathroom comes with a sunken bathtub overlooking the patio and everything you need for personal hygiene care. In addition there is a small backyard, where an outdoor shower is located for a distinctive experience.
The main garden is decorated with a bed (Bale Bengong), two pool chairs and an infinity pool overlooking the jungle of Ubud.
The sunrise views from the pool are gorgeous.
It is an ideal place to disconnect and to be in touch with nature and with oneself.
Here you will find a large swimming pool, a hammock area and another small pool for children.
Just a bit inside the pool there is a bar where you can have a drink while cooling down.
It is a pool surrounded by nature.
I liked going there early in the morning when nobody else was there, so I could enjoy the whole pool by myself.
There is also a bar, an area with relaxing pool chairs and, on the bottom floor, a terrace with chairs overlooking the jungle, but I opted for the floating snack.
It was super fun!
This area is open to everybody to visit; it is not necessary to be a hotel guest to enjoy this magnificent swimming pool.
This is, without any doubt, one of my favorite areas within the resort!
It is located on a platform surrounded by nature. The room is wrapped by glass doors, so it’s easy to get carried away feeling connect with nature.
The instructor I had the pleasure to be taught by, offers a basic traditional yoga class, suitable for everyone.
There are two restaurants in the resort. The first is on the top floor, overlooking the rice fields of the resort itself.
The other restaurant is located next to the main pool.
Kamandalu also offers “special lunches”.
I enjoyed some of those options.
One day I ate at the shed right in the middle of the rice fields.
Another day I had breakfast in the pool of my villa; I was served the menu on a floating tray.
I also had candle-lit dinner in two different outdoor locations; in front of a creek and in the cute cabins near by the main pool.
These experiences are very intimate and unique.
There are other even more romantic options, but I will experience them when I have a boyfriend! LOL
Of all the treatments offered, I only tried the Balinese massage and I liked it, but what I liked the most was the ginger tea served to me at the end of the session.
I love ginger and that tea was simply delicious!
At the club lounge they offer free tea and cocktails for guests.
There is also a very cool red bridge across the lake.
And many flowers everywhere 🙂
Kamandalu Ubud is undoubtedly a place where you can relax and enjoy the Balinese culture in a natural and tranquil environment.
