The hotel chain “Padma” has two locations in Bali, one in Legian and one in Ubud, both inspired by the cultural tradition of the places.
Last week I stayed at Padma Legian, so I want to share my experience with you.
Padma Legian is located in the area of Kuta, one of the most touristic areas in Bali.
The truth is that I usually stay in quiet resorts surrounded by nature, but from time to time I also like to be in the hustle and bustle of the cities, meeting people, enjoying night life, cocktails and festive atmosphere, that’s why I chose Padma Legian, located in the lively area of Kuta, famous for its wide range of restaurants, bars and clubs.
In this area there are many hotels of all price ranges and many of them are located by the beach. What made me choose Padma Legian was that it is in front of the most popular area of Legian Sunset beach.
Padma Legian is a complex of 432 rooms located within 6.8 hectares of gardens, with 5 swimming pools, 3 restaurants, beach club, gym and spa.
I stayed in one of the new chalets, located right in front of a beautiful dragon statue.
The chalet is not luxurious but has everything you need and is very clean. It is divided into three zones:
The room, with double bed, sofa, TV, mini-bar, desk and wardrobe.
Bathroom with shower and bath.
And a balcony overlooking the garden.
Of the five pools, I would highlight three:
My favorite is the main pool because it is big (45×25 meters).
In fact I found myself so comfortable that one of the days I spent the whole morning there, swimming, jumping and eating in the bar-restaurant that was inside the pool.
My second favorite is the Infinity pool with sea views. The views are not direct, as there is a street between the hotel and the beach, but the sea breeze comes in and you can see the sea.
The last one is the lagoon pool, a long swimming pool which can be accessed directly from the “lagoon” rooms.
There is also a children’s pool, a volley ball pool and a basketball pool.
The resort is chock full of people, so I was surprised to find this area empty, well void of people, but with lots of fish. I found my space to connect with nature! 😉
I had dinner at the Tenkai Japanese restaurant. I chose the teppanyaki option and I loved it. The food was delicious and the cook was super friendly, explaining his adventures around the world while cooking for us.
Breakfast is offered at the DONBIU. It is a large buffet with local and continental food.
I also tried the salads at the restaurant “The Barong” which is located in the main pool. A fresh and healthy option.
At night there is the option to go to S.K.A.I Beach Club. I read very good reviews about the place, but we decided to go out and try other clubs.
It is an ideal resort to go with family or friends and enjoy the tourist and bustling life of the Kuta area.
