The Route to Hana is a winding road of 88km (55 miles) surrounded by vegetation that passes through bridges, waterfalls, beaches, natural pools, etc.
I recommend going in a private vehicle, this way you can stop at the points that interest you most.
Here I’m sharing with you the places you shouldn’t miss.
During the tour there are around 20 waterfalls. Some can be seen off the road, others require a walk.
I recommend the Three Bears Waterfall (Upper Waikani Falls), because access is relatively easy and the views are beautiful. In addition, you can swim in the lower pool.
Kaihalulu is a virgin beach with red sand that seems to be taken from another planet. The contrast of the red sand with the intense blue of the sea is beautiful.
By the way, being a beach further away from the population, it is possible to find people doing nudism.
Waikoa Pond, also known as the Venus pool, is a natural pool of transparent and calm waters.
The most fun of this place is jumping off the cliffs.
It is a route of about 2.9km (1.8 miles) that starts in the “Seven Sacred Pools”.
The road is surrounded by nature, waterfalls and a bamboo forest.
At the end of the route we find the wonderful Waimoku waterfall, about 120 meters (400 feet).
Wai’anapananpa State Park
In this park we find a beautiful beach of black sand, surrounded by vegetation.
